Americans Beware for your Future

We are at a time of great change & chaos in our America. Politicians have decided to alter our life styles. Their major concern is helping the underclass (called middle class) gain recognition and support in our society. I have agreed with this "helping" proposition since i was old enough to vote in the 1960's. Now because I want to move slower, more cautiously, and with greater public awareness, consent, I am called part of a "mob". Everything is politically correct if you agree with the party in power and the press. If a politician doesn't like my remarks, attitude, he/she can be rude, cause me harm, get the public to make fun of me, and insult me/my family. We have only to look at Sarah Palin to see how the majority party is treating her. Joe the Plumber is not far behind. Who wants to stick their neck out and get the business. All of us have busy productive lives. Who has time to deal with a hassel and arguments?

Despite the pain/suffering of putting up with a lot of silly/stupid comments, I encourage all of you who want a safe, normal life with a job, a partner, maybe children to speak up for freedom and our right to be heard. We don't need sneaky policies, double talk, a president putting our nation down and economic policies that will ruin our future for personal success. Sign up with this administration and they will help you but at a cost. You will belong to them. If you cross them, watch out. Please stop, read, listen to all sides and get a grip on what is happening. If the administraton has a chance they will take over the internet, talk radio, and free speech in general. Now there are even thugs at townhall meetings that will bite off fingers. What are we coming to when the "normal" people are called nuts and the "nuts" are called normal. The Democrat party has been taken over by the left. The Republicans are in a state of confusion about which cause to support. Meanwhile people like you and me are sounding off. The nobodies have to watch the country while the politicians are "chasing their tail". Let us all stand together and try to hold the country together until sanity is reestablished in America.

I encourage everyone to read Mark Styne. He makes a lot of sense and is funny. Dennis Miller is another level headed commentator. Please comment if you agree with some of the things I have shared. If you don't like my thoughts, tell me but be polite. I am a 71 year old grandmother and do not appreciate rude language. Thanks Newsvine for the opportunity to comment.

John Hancock-

I concur, it seems like both sides are unwilling to listen to each other. Someone doesn't like the president speaking to their children and they are branded as an unamerican racist. Someone one wants a public health care option and they are branded as a communist. What ever happened to discussing the real issues.

Marcella I read your article twice, to make sure I was really hearing the message you were trying to convey. Yes we all have busy lives, those like you and myself have had productive ones. Strictly from my stand point I've come to this conclusion,we have some serious issues in our country. In your byline about yourself, maybe you should say, I'm an America not a conservative, I would also say that had you said I'm a liberal.

Neither party or ideology standing alone is going any where. Just like you and I it takes some of both to complete us as good human beings. The Palin's and Plummer's just like the Frank's and Shumer's are about political parties and power. Those like you and I Marcella are about Us our family and America, we have 50 years of facts and history, proving we the people can and will make a change for betterment, those who live for politics are about them selves. So if you are about Us and America, you've found a friend and millions of others.

    Peace to you and yours

Marcella: A Word to both you and Your husband, a hundred times you may be rejected when you offer your hand in friendship. It's not about them accepting it's all about you and making the offer. During some of those 100 offers one or two will say yes and you've made a friend. I've been told a 1000 times I'm wasting my breath, but over the last 2 years I just keep writing and making the offer. Thousands have accepted, just remember, to walk you must take that first step, you and I have taken it together. When it quits beening about politics and becomes about people talking, the world listens.

My best to you and your husband.

      Hawk
